Since its inception in 2001, Impact 100 has given over $1,400,000 to Greater Cincinnati non-profits. Our 2008 membership totals 222 members, which means we are able to give out two grants of $111,000 each. We presented the checks to these worthy charities earlier this month. Special thanks to Neals Remodeling who hosted this event.
From the Family Committee: FreeStore/FoodBank - Will use the money to extend their Power Pack Lunch program to provide weekend meals for 3000 kids.
From the Health and Wellness Committee: IKRON - Will use the money to rennovate their building, where they help the mentally ill find jobs and improve their lives.
All members are invited to join in the celebrations as a check for $111,000 is presented to each of these winners on November 6 (See Calendar below for information).
We extend our heartfelt thanks to each of the deserving finalists, and regret only that we are not able to fund every one of them. The work they do in our community continues to inspire us. Our 2009 membership year begins now - we encourage all 2008 members to join us, and bring a friend. By doubling our membership next year we can reach the 300 member mark, and collectively extend our giving.
