Since its inception in 2001, Impact 100 has
given over $1,400,000 to Greater Cincinnati non-profits. Our 2008
membership totals 222 members, which means we are able to give out two
grants of $111,000 each. After the voting during our Annual Awards
Celebration in September, our members voted to award this years grants to:
From the Family
Committee:FreeStore/FoodBank
- Will use the money to extend their Power Pack Lunch program to provide weekend
meals for 3000 kids.
From the Health and Wellness Committee:
IKRON -
Will use the money to rennovate their building,
where they help the mentally ill find jobs and improve their
lives.
We'd also like you to know about the past grant
recipients listed below. Each of these non-profits have received a grant
of $100,000 or more to fund programs that help them increase their contribution
to Cincinnati.
While these
non-profits have been direct beneficiaries of Impact 100 grants. The
indirect beneficiaries have been the hundreds of other non-profit agencies whose
good works have been reviewed, discussed, and seen first hand by the members of
Impact 100. Many of these organizations have received other grants or
funding as a direct result of the exposure gained through their application to
Impact 100.
In addition, the
members of Impact greatly benefit from supporting the organization,
participating on committees which choose the award finalists and learning
more about the many non-profit organizations in the greater Cincinnati area.
